Unpacking Scripture: Hebrews 13:20-21
Nov 23

Here is what the writer (Paul???) says:
20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
What are the implications of this verse? Anyone want to interact?

Lionel-
I’m game.
I’m so thankful for the new covenant and better covenant ratified in the blood of Christ that fulfilled the old covenant and divinely enables us to serve God under the new covenant though the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
I like how 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 puts it:
Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. -2 Corinthians 3:5-6
Hutch,
“Not that we are adequate in ourselves…” wow!!!!
Lionel-
I’d like to do or interact with a series that details and discusses in what ways the New Covenant is new and better and what that means to an individual believers life and relationship with God.
Hutch how about you write a few posts? Calling it something like The New Covenant and Its Implications or something fancy like that. I will write the introduction called “Who You Calling A Antinomian You Legalist?
Lionel,
If you can talk Hutch into starting a blog, I’ll set it up for him.

I should be meeting him tomorrow if everything works out, if not at least Friday!
